Southern Star Co-Operative Society is a Life Line of Malayalees in Delhi & Around and well known for its Trust, Commitment & Social Upliftment. It came into existence in 1986 with 41 members at Lawrence Road. Now it has grown leaps and bounds in its service to Malayalees in Delhi and its surrounding areas, strictly based on the very principle of co-operative movement in our country. Today, Southern Star Society is a huge family of more than 32000 members and having fixed assets worth more than 100 Crores. Southern Star Society has proved that by joining hands with each other, our small individual resources can be put together to serve the need of a large number of people and can influence to improve our living. Our Salient Features

  1. 32000 active members and more than Rs 150 Cr. turnover, biggest Society in North India in number of members, deposit s & branches.
  2. Head Office in a centralized location with 9 branches & 4 cheque collection centres.
  3. Corporate Office as well as 8 Branch offices are owned by the Society, now worth more than Rs 100 Crores.
  4. Ordinary Loan up to Rs. 5 Lakhs & Housing/Property Loan up to Rs. 25 Lakhs.
  5. Emergency Loan up to Rs. 80,000/- without any surety & Vehicle Loan up to 5 Lakhs.
  6. Gold Loan (Loan against Gold ornaments) Rs. 5000/- per gram, with interest @ 8 to 10% P.A for a period upto one year.
  7. Soft loan upto Rs 1 lakh
  8. Interest on ordinary loan and emergency loan @ 10% P.A.
  9. Working on Sundays from 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM and on week days from 11.30 AM to 7.30 PM
  10. Free Insurance of members up to Rs. 5,00,000/- (Welfare Fund).
  11. Free Library service to all members with a collection of more than 4000 books.
  12. Defaulters less than 1%.
  13. Dividend 8% P.A. Interest on deposits up to 9% P.A.
  14. Deposit/Payment through NEFT/RTGS & Debit/Credit Cards
  15. Free Legal Cell and Investment / Tax cell for free Consultation.
  16. Adequate Insurance / Security for Cash and valuables.
